Cicely Hello. Today I wanted to tell a great experience. This morning as usual I went for my aikido class, and upon arrival I was told there were people q q would be reviewed. However, testing began (it was rather early grades), and after finishing all appreciate q the result was very satisfactory in all of them, so much so q q approved more than enough.
Well, this alone is already a great experience. But suddenly, just when the teacher ends with his positive assessment to the examination of his students (the day before was just the opposite), one of them breaks to mourn ...
.. and there I was, watching this piece of guy is near the thirty burst into tears in front of satisfaction of all his companions, and how they all approached him to congratulate him as a server, still in seiza, remained perfectly still watching the scene for a few slow seconds with an emotion far greater if it is drawn in a smile.
But this is not the pleasant experience to q I meant. The pleasant experience issue is now thinking about it, and realizing q such life experiences make me transcend even the term "person", the term "martial art" and many other concepts, q both based mash of truth and evidence, I have almost always eternal "battle" with no surprises. Full of rules, but empty listening, spontaneity.
And I thank a thousand times aikido, because above what many might believe q, q this is more than acquiring a skill with sticks, fists and kicks. In me, fortunately, is awakening an ability infinitely more important, q is in my humble opinion, the basis of this martial art, and a pillar q consider important in the life of any person.
And this ability is another q to learn how to "listen."
